AM4AC is an IC that supports LCD display, voice/dual-tone melody play. The IC is ideal for use in talking watch, talking calculator, etc.
AM4AC has three development tools: EzMusician4A, EzLCD and IDE4A.
1 Editing voice and melody files
Use EzMusician4A to add voice and melody files, and edit the envelope of melody.
1.1 Adding a voice file
Run EzMusician4A and create a file.

Figure 1 displays the information of the voice file added. To add a voice file, double click a cell in the Filename column, a dialog box will show for adding voice file.
After a voice file is added, the table will show information of each parameter of the file. Among the parameters, “Factor” indicates the voice quality, where 12 means the best quality or the biggest rom size, and 1 means the poorest quality but occupies the least rom size. You can add at most 128 voice files.
1.2 Adding a melody file
Figure 2 shows the information of the existing melody files. Double click a cell in the Filename column to add a melody file. Note that the melody file must be single- or dual- channel. You can add at most 128 melody files.

1.3 Adding envelope for melody file
The play of each note in a melody file involves a process in which the volume goes from high to low, and this process is controlled by envelope. Figure 3 shows the envelope information table. File env1.evp4 is the envelope for Tone 1 and file env2.evp4 that for Tone 2.

Envelope is editable. Double-click on an envelope preview under View in Figure 3, the following envelope-editing window will appear.

Clicking and dragging a green spot to desired position will change the shape of the envelope.
Clicking elsewhere on the red edge will add a green spot.
Right clicking on a green spot will delete the spot.
After you finish adding voice/meledy files and editing the envelope, save the project into an .mpr file.
